Etiquette
There are two cardinal rules on the golf course:
Be motionless and quiet while others are making a stroke. Golfers can easily be distracted. Talking (Especially Whispering), jingling of coins, standing in the line of play or sight, standing closely directly behind the player, or walking around are examples of actions that can be distracting to a golfer trying to concentrate on a shot. You will quickly come to appreciate such courtesies from other golfers – always practice them yourself.
Be courteous and pleasant. No one likes to play with an obnoxious person. Maintain your composure at all times, even when you’re having a bad day on the course. Do not slam, throw or otherwise abuse your clubs after a poor shot and do not use foul language. The game is to be enjoyed and no one likes a person who constantly complains about everything.
